History Channel Cities Of The Underworld Maya Underground. Airdate: March 10, 2008 Belize was the nerve center of the ancient Mayan civilization. Hundreds of ruins dot the landscape and reveal clues to bloody rituals, advanced architecture and a belief in an unforgiving underworld of Mayan gods. i hate the fact a Guatemalas president lost the land of Belize to England.. im not sure if it was because debt problems or IDK.. ME as GUatemalan.. i hate the fact that GUatemala itself lost the land of Belize.. the same thing happened when Just Rufino Barrios sold half of the MExican territory for some stupid wrecked rifles!! hahaha.. sorry i had to take it out of me.. I think that IF there is an afterlife, every man would be punish in his law. They couldn’t know about Jesus Christ or God. Civilazations like the mayans venerated pegan God’s because even the nature processes were strange for them, they were afraid due to lack of knowledge and that’s why people created the myths. As for example, when the storm came and the there were thunders they believed that the gods were angry and they made human sacrifices as an ofrand for Gods and for their own wealth.
